Officer Responsibilities

President

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for the club
  • Preside over club meetings and board meetings
  • Ensure the club constitution and bylaws are followed
  • Appoint committees as needed, including the nominating committee
  • Sign official and legal documents on behalf of the club

Vice President

  • Coordinate and schedule club programs and presentations
  • Assist the President and assume duties when the President is unavailable
  • Support the board in carrying out club goals
  • Help ensure the club constitution and bylaws are followed

Secretary

  • Record and maintain minutes of club meetings
  • Handle routine club correspondence
  • Maintain official club records and documents
  • Provide meeting summaries for publications in the club newsletter

Treasurer

  • Manage club finances, including dues, bills, and reimbursements
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile bank statements
  • Prepare and present a monthly treasurer's report
  • Handle required state filings and officer updates
  • Maintain the paid-members email and financial records

Trustee

  • Obersee operation and maintenance of club repeaters
  • Coordinate repeater frequencies and compliance with SERA and ARRL
  • Maintain FCC, RepeaterBook, and EchoLink listings
  • Manage EchoLink operations
  • Keep records of repeater site, access, issues, and complaints
