About the Club

Kingsport Amateur Radio Club was affiliated on October 2, 1947. Local veterans who were amateur radio operators formed the club so that everyone would have a place to gather, enjoy fellowship, and advance in the art of radio.

Today the club has over 70 members from across the Tri-Cities area of East Tennessee. We run regular events for Parks on the Air (POTA), Summits on the Air (SOTA), fox hunting, winter and summer Field Day, CW, and much more. Newcomers and visitors are always welcome.
